D , 2824 JUN -6 PM T. 31 Location: Select Board Meeting Room Session: Version: Patrick Tompkins, Kirk McCormick, Nancy Twomey Members - Not Present: Brad Congdon, Greg Stapler, John Coote Others Present: Marilyn Shapleigh, Council on Aging, Jenna Fiorente, Community Services Director, Matt Kraunelis, Town Manager, Mark Dockser, Select Board Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: Topics of Discussion: Meeting called to order at 6:00 pm. Discussion of locations for potential Senior Center: • Generally discussed the Select Board's request that PBC be involved in the process. • PBC agreed to discuss this with the other Committee members at a future meeting. (When hopefully the entire committee will be present.) • It was generally agreed that PBC involvement would be helpful early in the process. • Pat Tompkins mentioned that it would be helpful if the PBC would be presented with information concerning the entire town plan and where the Senior Center (and other potential projects) fit into that plan. • Mark Dockser discussed the process of approval of any new project, including approval during the Town Meeting. • Mark Dockser also indicated that PBC's involvement should ideally be focused on the specific construction -related assessment and recommendations. • It was agreed that new members would be added to the committee as part of the process. • Discussion then turned to the specific sites (Oakland, Symonds, and current location). • At the next meeting, PBC will review the application and vote on whether PBC would accept the Senior Center as an official PBC project.
