Corrin:
We should work with and help MAPC with data and the development of the presentation
of material to make it easier for the general public.
Vehicle data - > from 2014 -> here is what Reading is doing to support the residents
3. Killam School Sustainability Working Group — (Gena Pilyaysky and Carolyn Johnson)
Carolyn attended the'traffic meeting"
- Mostly dealt with safety issues around school
- Observed R tracked drop off and pick up
- Pick-up time is easier, more diluted, whereas the drop-off is pretty packed
- Speeding is an issue. Speed limit is not observed: more flashing lights.
- They are devising a plan to mitigate and coming back to the residents with a proposal
- Idling - brought up by a resident-> potentially make more parking to remove the idling,
give more people space
Susan:
- Did they look at how many families walk to school?
- Are there additional traffic crossing guards?
Carolyn: not sure
- Should ask crossing guard people
4. MBTA Communities Process (Ray Porter and Gena Pilyaysky)
CPDC public hearing on the proposed zoning changes ahead of Town Meeting
Gena: Nothing to update.
Travis: Direct environmental points to make during the town meeting
5. Planning for Movie Night, "Kiss the Ground" at the Reading Public Library (Susan Bowe)
Travis:
- Talk to highschool and maybe do a film screening there
- Maybe turn it into a monthly series
Susan:
School environmental club has been busy at that time
Travis suggested a shooter documentary, and maybe have someone speak to that topic would
be awesome

Nothing to report on this
