Ray:
- Discussed the upcoming bike exchange
- Tasks from volunteers Involve cleaning, very light maintenance
- We could always use more help and volunteers
- The bike exchange will occur on May 4th (9-12 am)
- Located at: RMLD Parking lot (Ash Street)
Gena:
- Compost update
- Good independent discussion with BEC
- BEC is interested in using solar panels for the canopy, vs the current plastic ones
- Solar -based canopy would allow BEC to do "two things" in the same space
- BEC mentioned sites (not in Reading) that could be viable

- Sidewalks at the Walker Brook Drive
Includes bike paths
Could be good to promote pedestrian traffic to WBD
Travis update:
- Updates on the Net Zero climate plan
- Discussed different tasks/exercises that people performed to get more Informed on
the topic
Ray update:
- Attended the Killam public meeting on sustainability
- Similar even to the past public meeting, with a focus on sustainability rather than all
three topics
- Results were about the same
- Interest in various uses of the building was expressed
Corrin:
- Interested in additional data Net Zero Action Plan
- Reached out and engaged with MAPC
- Understanding the assumption that went into the analysis is of high importance
- This includes Items such as water usage, vehicles, etc.
Jackie:
- Discussed current work on Killam School and where RCAC can contribute
- Updates on the Senior Center progress
- The importance of getting MBTA communities right
- Solicited Q/A from the committee members
Mark: Inquired how the articles typically get passed
- Jackie covered the typical process, using the recent Polystyrene article as an
example
Travis: Asked what some of the major hurdles we foresee with Net Zero Action Plan
- Jackie recommended engagement with the residents
- It will be critical to alleviate some concerns that residents may have
- Communication will be the key
Gena additional updates:
- Re-emphasises that our contribution to MBTA is minimal
- We should continue to support the staff in their efforts
Ray additional updates:
- The movie has been moved to March 12 to de -conflict with the election
- We will be participating in Friend and Family Day, on June 8th, at Birch Meadow
