Net Zero Action Plan
Travis provided an update on the Net Zero Action Plan
• Currently in the early stages
• Net Zero is moving to the November 29th
• Travis will provide an update after the 29th
• Expressed thanks to those participating in the Net Zero Action Plan
• RCAC's goal, in participating, is to bring a sense of pragmatism
We will be examining what other communities have done, to understand what works,
what doesn't, and what will work for Reading
• Additional goal is to continue our support of RMLD efforts for electrification,
weatherization, etc.,
MBTA Communities
Gena provided an update on the MBTA Communities
• RCACs direct participation is minimal
• We should support as preservation of green space, but it is impossible to do as the
setbacks need to change in order to make the lots compliant
• Overall, it is better to build on already developed land to increase housing

• Does not really appear to apply to any of the RCAC members
