Review minutes, vote on acceptance: None
Accepted minutes for: 12/20 & 01110
Travis: Updates on Net Zero
• Discussed some of the preliminary information from the MNCPC
o Vehicles and residential buildings are -80% of the emissions
• Will now start having a conversation with the folks about equipment and behavior
change with the transitions
• Gena asked if the measurement included other traffic or just resident's emissions
• Corrin discussed how the waste is included
• Travis: per capita, Reading is very high relative to similar towns
• Travis will follow up on clarification as to whether this includes other highlights
(Jan Meeting 30th)

• Architects introduces themself and solicited community feedback
• We walked around on tables and jot down items that were of interest to the
community
• After the brainstorming they had a technique for rating priorities.
• Limited number of stickers
• Lots of overlap in descriptions of what people wanted to from the new
development
• Meeting coming up on the Feb. 29th (definitely on Zoom, maybe in person?)
• Agenda for Killam
o Introductions
o Review existing sustainability goals and requirements
I Stretch code requirements
o Town of Reading Sustainability Goals
o RFP Sustainability Goals
o Review information on incentives
• Discuss goals in 5 areas:
o Site
o Energy
o Water
o Air Quality
o Materials
o Other?
Ray mentioned a new MA Clean Heat Program
Subcommittee for "School Sustainability Committee" Travis, Gena, Carolyn
• Voted unanimously to approve the subcommittee (double-check)
Gena MBTA update:
• Not much for RCAC to do
• Town could lose a lot of funding if META does not pass
• Travis recommended we suggest a reduction of impervious surface
o Zoning only, little power to control anything
• We should introduce permittable surface and RV requirements
Corrin & Travis will share additional data
Susan update on the movie
• All is on schedule
• Working on the material
Ray's term is up and someone will need to replace him :(
