• Architect selected with a focus on green, high-performance schools
• Need to assemble a working group
o Educational aspect
o Sustainability
Would like an RCAC member on this group
• Gena Pilyaysky has expressed interest in this role
o Communication
Will have a dedicated website
• Example from Massachusetts School Building Authority

• RMLD will have representation on the committee
• Planning to start working groups in ]an 2024

• Goal of taking design to voters in spring of 2025
Green Communities Update by Karen Gately Herrick
• Reading delegation is in support of legislation to update DOER rules to allow for
RMLD to split renewable energy trust fees
• We are currently in a waiting period
• Working with State Representatives to advance this process
Burbank Ice Rink Update by Karen Gately Herrick
• New roof - focusing on solar -ready
• Working with RMLD to support an energy audit and improvements
Net Zero Action Plan Update
• Request details on GHG Inventory
• Expecting public meetings to begin in Jan 2024
MBTA Communities Update
• A draft zoning ordinance has been developed after multiple rounds of public
engagement
• Listening to concerns of residents within the district
• Evaluating Impact on historic homes/districts
• Two more meetings scheduled for 2024 to continue the discussion

Community Movie Night
• Planning for early March night but considering the April date at the library

• Fidel's last day is 12/31
• Matt Kraunelis (Asst. Town Manager) is the Interim Town Manager
• Interviews continue into 2024, with the goal of having a new Town Manager in place
in March/April
