Review minutes, vote on acceptance: None
Greg Phipps gave a presentation
• Provided an update on RMLD's activity and goals
• Similar presentation to the one shown to the SB [attached]
• One of RMLDs primary objectives is to keep rates low for energy user
• Additional goals are to be reliable, low-cost, and carbon-nuetral
o RMLD monitors load hourly
• RMLD is looking to be proactive in addressing their goals
• Interested in vehicle to grid technology
• Gena asked about the plot where the HP were not realy used in the summer
o Greg explained that the data is "folded" already as the heat pumps are
transitioned from AC, and already accounted for. The plot only shows the "new"
load from the winter time use
• Susan asked about taking global warming models into their analysis.
o Greg stated that this is a very difficult task to perform, so not so much.
• Travis inquired about the use of liquid natural gas
o Greg stated that the projections (crafted by the LNG companies) show that usage
will grow by a little, and then flatten out, over the coming years
• Greg stated that RCACs yearly survey has been informative but we might want to take a
year off

• RMLD would like to accelerate the weatherization program to improve the efficiency of
energy usage
Ray Updates:
• Jan 30th is scheduled for net zero action plan
• Public meeting is likely going to be happening on the January 30th
• Greenhouse invintory is done
• Not much else to communication on the topic
• Travis will continue to provide RCAC with updates
• Killam has an upcoming meeting, tomorrow at 5:15 to 6:30
• Broad focus of the meeting but energy efficiency discussion is one of the topics
o If we meet energy stretch code requirments, its $4 million dollars in funding
Susan Updates:
• Movie night update provided
• March 5th is the current date, evening
• Susan is working with the library staff
• Friends of the Reading Public Library are might to provide refreshments
• Susan disscussed wetland
o RCAC would like to help but not sure about the process
