Scheduling of next meeting • Attendance: John O'Neil, Ron Assini, Nora Bucko, John Parsons, Mark Dockser, Michael Coltman, Mark Dockser. • Acceptance of December 2023 Meeting Minutes: Accepted by All - Add action items • bh+a Feasibility Study Update Jenna provide here update with site visit of PSC, conditional analysis, overall building in good condition, but definitely needs upgraded system (HVAC, electrical etc.). bh+a will be meeting will be multiple groups, Elder Service, Reading Recreation, PSC Staff. They will be planning for community outreach. Mark Dockser provided an update with bh+a working with a smaller advisory group, in addition to community outreach. Starting point that they're working is current PSC and Symons Way, as well as potentially Oakland Rd, from a previous site consideration for Early Education facility. Mark provided bh+a with previous work done at Oakland Rd. The approach that bh+a is thinking Senior Center plus a Gym combination has a Community Center. Page I 1 Only one person responded to the RFI for Symons Way. It did not include a Senior Center, mostly all recreation focused. Update by bh+a to the Select Board and Town Meeting in the Spring 2024 for the feasibility update. Phase 3 is a schematic drawing update for late June 2024. • Discuss current center visits & action plan moving forward Jenna provided an update on site visits. 4-5 visits thus, however it may have been not a good time since it was during Nov -Dec 2023 holiday timeframes. ReCalc member to reach out to Jenna by January 16, for their availability for the last two weeks of January 2024. John O'Neill provided an update on his Burlington visit. Impressed with the transportation options (uber, Lahey). Lahey also funded their fitness programs ($30,000). • There will be a RECALC meeting with bh+a January 17, 6:OOpm (Town Hall and Remote). They would like to engage members of the RECALC Committee again in a stakeholders interview. • Schedule for next meeting: February 7, 2024 Town Hall - Communication Plan - Architect update - COA Presentation • Motion to adjourn: John O'Neil, Ron Assini, Nora Bucko, Mark Dockser, Michael Coltman, John Parsons.
