RECALC & COA will have the opportunity to provide critical feedback on the types of interior rooms and outdoor amenities at a proposed Senior Center/Community center. Feedback will help advance center design studies going forward. Rachel began to present on basic plans and to garner feedback from COA and ReCalc Three sites: Pleasant Street- 3 concepts were presented Simonds Way -1 concept was presented Oakland Road- 1 concept was presented. Concept f -Axon: Original building, plus a large new addition. Full gymnasium. Two story parking garage with building above garage. Lower level includes 24 garage parking spaces, office space, additional bathrooms, elevator and stairs to the main level. Main level will have 27 garage parking spaces, multipurpose room, storage and connection to kitchen, lounge space with soft seating, additional office space, and 6500 square foot gym. There were various questions/comments. Concept 2- Axon: Senior center only concept. Parking garage similar to concept 1. No gym in this concept. Multipurpose room on the second floor. Nothing on the lower level, second floor has offices, fitness room, gross motor room, conference room, double height lobby, Second Page 1 1 level has a kitchen, multipurpose room, lounge. Terrace on the back. There were various questions/comments. Concept 3- Axon: Senior Center only concept. Parking garage similar to concept 1. Multipurpose room on main level. Kitchen, lobby, second floor all program rooms and offices. Oakland Road: Community center concept with dedicated senior space. Two parking levels - lower level for seniors, upper level parking with pickleball courts. 88 parking spaces. Senior programming on the lower level, recreation on the upper level. Gym and walking track. Includes arts and craft room, fitness room and program rooms on second floor. Shared spaces. Lower level dedicated space includes a game room, terrace, multi purpose room, kitchen, lounge, office space, lobby. Four pickleball courts, circuit trail, patio/terrace. Other courts or community garden are possible. There were commentsiquestions. Symonds Way: 90 parking spaces with gymnasium. Community center in the front, gym in the back with Its own entrance. Lounge, restrooms, gym, lounge, multipurpose room on first floor. Second floor- program rooms, fitness room, recreation rooms. Meeting Adjourned at 9:19 rage 1 2
