An article was posted in the Chronicle. Laurel Hill — Old Cemetery • Current count— 10 Colonial War, 33 Revolutionary War • Working on ideas to get a very simple marker designed and made • Veterans markers will no longer be used on the Colonial War/Revolutionary War graves — instead the new marker will be placed • No Colonial markers are currently being made, therefore trying to design: • Oval — Colonial War with dates on bottom? • Star • 6 Colonial War soldiers served in both Colonial and Revolutionary Wars, so they will get two markers • Once a design is created, will be made in aluminum to match the Veterans • Options for funding will be available • Ginny will continue to research and try to get a finalized design for the markers General Business Ginny — contacted by the Readings Magazine — they are doing a piece on Laurel Hill • Shared other names that would be able to share information about Laurel Hill • Seems to be making a positive effort to make information accurate • Comes out possibly sometime in August Brian — could it also be mentioned in the DPW newsletter that "NO DOGS" are allowed in the cemeteries. Just another way of making sure all are aware that dogs should not be in the cemeteries. Page 1 2 K OrH Town of Reading r. ,..z Meeting Minutes P'INCOP Next Meeting — Monday, October 2, 2023.
