The meeting was held remotely via Zoom.
Chair Richard Lopez called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM and reviewed this evening's
agenda.
Roll Call: Paula Curren, Kerry Dunnell, Geri Cramer, Kevin Sexton and Richard Lopez.
Review/Aooroval of Minutes from August 10"' 2023
Associate Member Kevin Sexton had one question about the Roll Call portion of the minutes
and Chair Richard Lopez clarified that the roll call is to introduce each member at the start
of the meetings.
Motion to approve August IV, 2023, minutes.
Roll Call: Kerry- Yes, Paula- Yes, and Richard- Yes.
Public Comment
There was no public comment.
Rodent Control Follow-Uo
Health Director Ade Solarin stated that the new Contrapest bait boxes were placed at
Washington Park. Mr. Solarin shared a picture of the Excel sheet that will help the Health
Department keep track of the activity level. Mr. Solarin specified that every Tuesday of the
month the Health Inspector, Jennifer Velazquez, will go out to measure the activity on each
box and update the Excel tracking sheet. Richard Lopez believes we won't see much of an
effect for about 6 to 12 weeks.
I Iodate, Community Health Needs Assessment
Health Director Ade Solarin shares an image of the new Community Health Needs
Assessment Survey. Mr. Solarin stated that Flyers with the QR Codes will be available at the
health department desk, Flu Clinics, Library, schools and more. It will also be in paper form,

English and or Spanish, at the Library and the Senior Center. The survey should run until
the end of October to early November and the results should be out soon after that.
Health Department Monthly Report
Ade Solarin stated that there were 22 cases of COVID-19 from September Su to September
14th and shared an image with details of the Vaccine clinics scheduled for this fall and
winter. Currently there are no updates on the Public Health Nurse vacancies for the town
and the shared services grant. In the meantime, we have been able to join the contact
tracing grant provided by the MDPH to help with disease surveillance activities.
Mr. Solarin stated that the Health Department conducted:
• 7 Food Inspections
• 5 Re -Inspections
• 2 Food Complaint Inspections
• 1 Housing Complaint and 1 Housing Complaint Inspection
• 1 Solid Waste and 1 Solid Waste Inspection
Final Comments
The next meeting will be on October 12th, 2023.
