• 40 residents have signed up for the direct debit rent payment through
Reading Cooperative. June 5'h begins the first batch of payments.
• Next Step Ministries Youth Organization is set to arrive on June 51h. Again
this year the focus will be on landscaping clean up, as well as building a
trash shed at the Summer and Main Property.
• Received a donation from the Reading Women's League in the amount of
$1,000. This donation is used to fund our weekly summer cookouts that
are set to begin next week.
• Resident services coordinator Kristin Murphy is hosting an ice cream social
on Wednesday June 7'h.
• Met with Reading High School's Bridging Generations club who will be
hosting monthly events for seniors at the Pleasant Street Center. Many of
our residents have already participated in their game night, and rock
painting class.
• An acapella group called the Memory Laners are tentatively scheduled to
perform Wednesday, July 121h under the gazebo, weather permitting. More
details to come.
• Currently 44 residents at Tannerville receive ongoing services through our
RSC Kristin Murphy and Mystic Valley Elder Services. This has had a
substantial impact in the successful mitigation of some of the more difficult
housing issues such as poor housekeeping, hoarding and declining mental
health. We encourage all residents who have not yet made an
appointment with Kristin for a needs assessment.
