CIL 2129 JUN 29 PM 1:21 Location: Berger Room David Zeek, Chair; Ray Porter, Secretary; Genady Pilyaysky, Member; Walt Talbot, Member; Travis Estes, Member; Members - Not Present: Others Present: Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: Ray Porter Topics of Discussion: Meeting was held via a Zoom Conference Call Welcome to Members and Guests Review minutes, vote on acceptance Meeting minutes reviewed and approved for 2/22/2023 Tree Plantings in Reading • Arlington bylaw focuses more on protecting trees during construction • Gena reach out to the Tree Warden to discuss how Reading programs are being implemented. • Goal is to define the value of trees as a carbon sequestration and responsibilities for maintaining all trees In Town. Polystyrene Bylaw • Dave, Genady, Fidel Maltez, Ben Cares and Ade Solarin (Public Health Director) met to discuss: o A draft letter to be sent to businesses o A press release will be prepared about the bylaw o A pamphlet on the implementation of the bylaw. • Discussed text of documents • Have help with Town Hall to prepare graphics link to a website for additional information Page I 1 Town of Reading - Meeting Minutes CAC Stickers for Green Businesses • Review history of past efforts on issuing recognition • Discuss at a future meeting Farmers Market • Discussion with Ben Cares about a single event • Questioned whether the Business Improvement District (BID) would sponsor the Farmers Market.
