Charlie Adams discussed that RHA would be supporting the Town on an application for a
Housing Planning Production grant and that a meeting would be scheduled with Town staff
and Mass Housing to discuss the application process. Both Charlie Adams and Margaret
Donnelly Moran plan to participate in this meeting.
Executive Director Kathryn Gallant also spoke of the Metro housing forum hosted by RHA for
residents of the Minot Street property who are being displaced by new management. Eight
of the twelve residents were provided with information on applying for housing programs,
rent arrearage programs, moving expense assistance and tenant rights information.
Other updates included recent and upcoming resident services activities such as the
February and March craft workshops, working with residents on Mass Health Renewals,
Reading PD and Middlesex Sheriff SCAM prevention clinic and upcoming Fall prevention
information session.
Selectboard member Karen Herrick discussed opportunities for seniors through the senior
center and encourage residents to reach out to her if they had difficulties engaging town
services such as the RIDE.
