Treasurer Report: Brian has been performing the Treasurer function and shared the Grant Account (MCC funds) and General Fund (Town of Reading fund) budget reports dated January 31, 2023. Grant Account: FY23 Funds available $15,342.31 (FY23 Budget $66,525.30) General Fund: FY23 Funds available $370.85 (FY23 Budget $8,000.00) Brian has processed paperwork for payment to the following FY23 grantees from the General Fund: Diverse Voices in Social Studies at Birch Meadow $1,000; Reading Martin Luther King Day at RMHS $1,500; and $500 Family Concert: Sulinha's Trio at Reading Public Library. Payment of $500 was made to Corey Sinclair from the General Fund, which was the last submission from the FY22 cycle. The Treasurer Report was unanimously accepted by the Cultural Council, 4-0. Meetino Minutes from February 6. 2023: Kerri Perry submitted the draft of the February 6 Meeting Minutes. The minutes were unanimously approved, 4-0. May 8 Community Outreach Event: The Pleasant Street Center Great Room has been reserved from 6:00 - 8:30PM for the event. Steve will develop a sideshow using photos from grantees and will later post it on the RCC socials. We will add a footer to each slide that indicates the year of the RCC grant and organization. As a Community Outreach event has not been held since 2018, grantees from the past five years will be Invited to attend, and Megan will draft an invitation. Christine will contact Town Manager Fidel Maltez to have the event noted in his Town Manager Minute and In the town calendar. Brian will invite the Town Manager, Assistant Town Manager, Select Board, former RCC members, Senator Jason Lewis, and other dignitaries and elected officials to attend. Dr. Sudeshna Chatter)ee has offered the Trees of Page I 1 Peace from Martin Luther King, Jr. Day for display. We want this event to be a celebration and will serve small bottles of water and sweets. Brian will ask Carolyn Cole of MCC how we can fund refreshments. We will develop an exit survey for the event to collect feedback. Next Meeting: April 3. 2023. 7:OOPM at Pleasant Street Center Our next meeting will be in person and will allow us to plan for the Community Outreach Event on May 8, including A/V, furniture arrangement, and Flow. Other business: Brian is preparing an RCC report for the Select Board. There is stili a hotlink on the Town website to Annemieke Rice, who is no longer a member of RCC.
