Topics of Discussion:
1. A. Call to Order
Mrs. Gaffen called the meeting to order at 5:30p.m.
B. Discuss the Mission of the Subcommittee
I. -To catalog all current policies to determine which ones are out of date with MASC policies
and which ones may need updating for the district.
2. To determine a priority order to discuss those policies beyond the first four with which we
have been tasked to address.
3. To discuss and make edits as a subcommittee, seek advice from counsel, and then vote to
bring forward to the full committee.
C. Assian the Sections of School Committee Policies for Policy Catalog
The subcommittee divided the catalog. Mrs. Nazzaro will review sections A through E, Mr.
Robinson will review sections F through 1, and Mrs. Gaffen will review sections J through L.
Mrs. Gaffen will follow-up to ensure that the current online policy manual is up -to -dam
before the subcommittee begins their catalog work.
D. Review Policy JRA— Student Records. and Vote on Policy Changes
The subcommittee discussed Policy JRA- Student Records. They compared the current RPS
policy to the current MASC version and reviewed edits from counsel. The committee made
edits and took an informal vote, the vote was 3-0 in favor of moving the policy forward to the
School Committee.

E. Review Policy KDB — Public's Right to Know, and Vote on Policy Changes
The subcommittee discussed policy KDB- Public's Right to Know. They compared the
current RPS policy to the current MASC version and reviewed edits from counsel. The
committee made edits and took an informal vote, the vote was 3-0 in favor of moving the
policy forward to the School Committee.
The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
