Town Forest Appreciation Day
Approve approach to promote alternatives to lawns
Kid engagement alternatives discussed
The interaction with soils was the preferred activity
• Community Garden will apply to participate in the Town Forest Appreciation Day
Friends and Family Day
Recommend we focus on heat pumps and sustainability director
• Need to best approach to show the key elements of heat pump systems
• Also need a kid engagement activity
• Sustainability director might be done using a handout
Polystyrene Containers and Single Use Plastic (Lori Weir)
Discussed the elements of the Wakefield and Melrose bylaw on single use plastics
• Styrofoam ban separate from single use plastic bylaw
• Propose to talk with stakeholders (restaurants and R -NR Chamber of Commerce)
