Review minutes, vote on acceptance
Meeting minutes for 3/9/2022 approved as amended
Polystyrene Containers and Single use Plastic (Lori Weir)
• Propose a by-law for limiting plastics in the form Wakefield passed
• Lori to check with Wakefield on how they arrived at their by-law
• MassGreen.org has information on banning polystyrene containers and automatic
distribution of single use plastic utensils
• Any mechanism to incentivize reusable items instead of banning items
• Possible work with a local restaurant to pilot a program
Outreach Activities — subcommittee report
• Presentation of discussion had by the subcommittee
• Town Forest Day is May 1
• Seed swap at the Community Garden
• Soil conservation topic in concert with ConCom (Ray, Celeste and Walt)
• Joe Carnahan of ConCom contact
• Draft approach by April 13
• RMLD Energy Fair, rebates
• Focus on environmental actions
• Need an approach to be more expansive in our outreach

• Look at Barr Foundation document
• Possible measurement method for CAC
Community Garden Update
• March 24 - Application complete, informational session (7:30 - 8:00)
• March 25 - Applications submissions open (Conservation Commission webpage)
• April 8 - Notice to gardeners
• Early May - Open Community Garden to the gardeners
