Meeting minutes
RMLD Open House (10/6)
• David provided material/handouts
• Travis to provide mini -split head and posters
• Ray to provide balloons for H -P demo.
• Walt will have his EV car on display
Proposed Polystyrene Bylaw
• Andrew prepared graphics for distribution to business and public meetings
• Virtual meeting with the public on 10/12
• Genady to speak with respect to meetings with business on costs
• David discussed structure of the meeting
• Reviewed slide presentation
• Add input from business after enforcement slide
• Add timeline to implementation - bar graph with key dates
• Genady followed up with local businesses.

New Resident Open House (10/18)
• Resident's handouts have been updated
• Discussed need for computer with sideshow to attract interest
• Goals in attending is to attract potential members to CAC Committee and network
with other Town Committees
Revise Climate Action Plan
• Need to prepare an updated Climate Action/ Sustainability Plan for future grant
submittals
• Walt to review and comment on past material
• Goal is 5 page report takes credit for past accomplishments with a view to 2030 and
2050 goals.
• Travis to reach out to Walt to support his efforts on approaching the revised climate
action plan
Rebrand as a Reading Sustainability Committee?
• Value of renaming the Climate Committee to a Sustainability Committee
• Original purpose was to reduce carbon emissions, but role has expanded
Status of Heating and Cooling Survey
• Table and graphics prepared
• Need to post it to the RCAC and Town of Reading website
• What we did, what it means, what is the path forward
• Demonstrate connection to State building heating goals and RMLD goals
Green Communities law has Passed
