Welcome to Members and Guests
Review minutes, vote on acceptance
No meeting minutes reviewed.
Plans for a 9/22 public meeting on Energy Reduction Plan (Julie).
• Be sure to attend so that we have a quorum to open the meeting
• Suggested edit to the slide on funding compared to neighboring communities
Town Forest Celebration - Sept 25 from 8:00 to 12:00
• Entirely outdoor events, as summarized by Nancy Docktor
• Committee willing to be involved, bring our own materials (tents, tables and
handouts)
• Burn pit for invasive plants - Susan Bowe
• Have a table for to interact with participants.(poll, survey, check list)
• Stickers for voting on climate priorities
• Highlight efforts around trees, value of trees (carbon sequestration)
• Ray and Genady to lead the table

Discussed sustainability metrics.
• Dave provided a draft supplement for the annual census to capture home heating and cooling
• RMLD add a couple of questions relating to future conversion to heat pumps
• Comments make to a 3 year window for future conversion for Heating or Cooling
• Dave to forward to Select Board members
Discussed plans for the Community Garden.
• Dave provided and update on the Community Garden
• Need to clarify whether Mattera Cabin is the preferred site
• Recreation committee to be included in discussion over Hyde Park
Other issues related to sustainability metrics
• There are 20 sustainability measures many of which are not being implemented
within the sustainability plan
• Creating a Town staff member may take a considerable period of time.
• Sharing the role of a Sustainability manager with Wakefield or another neighboring
town.
Sustainability Director
• Dave presented the role of a Sustainability Director
• Based on Concord's posting for a Sustainability Director
• Tie to requirements from the State and Federal funds
• Grant funding includes applying for grants and report on outcomes
• Discussion about slides on job description and tasks
• Looking for a sales and marketing person with a technical background

• Sept 22" - Energy Reduction Meeting
• Sept 25th - 90th Anniversary of Town Forest, Woodland School Field.
