Town of Reading - Meeting Minutes
Gas Leak Report
• Report has been submitted, but has not been distributed more broadly.
• Dave to meet Bob Ackley about what he found. So leaks were found, 150 gas
leaks, but not as many as had been anticipated.
• Some leaks had been reported at the Train Station, but the tree is showing some
stress. Lack of rain and placement can be factors.
513 Main Street Project (Chronicle)
• Role for CAC to interact with project to improve sustainability
• Dave to follow-up with Karen Herrick as to how we interact with the project.
Promote the Stretch Code at the Town Meeting
• Sept 8 is the deadline for approval of warrant articles approved.
• Sponsorship of the warrant article
• Voting of article at Town Meeting.
• To have Select Board sponsor the warrant article, it would be good to have
additional data available for the next Select Board meeting.
Handout for New Residents
• Update half -page handout that was used a couple of years ago.
• August 25th need to get back to Michelle about how many handouts are needed.
• Patti to check of RMLD can to the printing.
