Accepted as amended the meeting minutes for 10/28/2020
Green Communities Initiative
• Promote Electric vehicle fleet for Town
o Incentives are available for purchase of electric vehicles
o Installation of charging stations in multi -unit residences or vehicle Fleets
o Developing networks or affinity groups to promote energy topics (e -cars,
energy efficiency)
o Post on Facebook stories about EV or energy projects
o RCN stories on energy efficient topics
• Stretch code adopted. by Town Meeting (celebratory cheer)
o Further actions from Sustainability Plan
o Promote educational event to promote the benefits of Energy Stretch Code
o Set a goal on adoption of energy efficiency
o Interaction with project developers to promote energy efficiency
o Look into gas bans to promote more electric system use (Belmont)
o Promote investment thresholds related to energy efficiency (Concord)
o Identify financial resources for people who need support

Gas Leaks Audit
• Phase 2 of gas audit has been authorized and has started
• This phase involves documenting suspected leaks to determine significant releases
• Resurvey of Main Street to check for gas leaks along resurfacing activity
• Town Engineer is tasked to follow-up work.

Two openings are expected on RMLD Board starting next April
