Handout for New Residents • Patti dropped off the handouts to the Reading Public Library. No feedback on the acceptance of the material RCAC Wordpress Website • Generally it needs lots of updating, information is missing (climate science) • A structure needs to be discussed that meets the needs of our "customers" • Links to the Google Drive which connect to the Green Sense Articles do not work, requiring Google access • Could post the articles as a blog post. Page I 1 Town of Reading - Meeting Minutes • Provide a link to Greta Thunberg • Share the Brainstorm Google Documents with the whole Committee may be problematic with the Open Meeting Law with respect to editing permissions. • Transportation and Buildings could be an issue • Getting a more user friendly domain name, which may require a redirect from a host site to the Committee website • Some part of the site could be used to archive information • RMLD is implementing its own Sustainability Plan. • Discussed renaming website to a more concise title Promote the Stretch Code at the Town Meeting • Could not confirm that stretch code would not impact housing costs. • Some benefits and credits can be obtained to offset the cost of energy efficiency investments. Energy savings related to the stretch code would have a pay back period of less than 1 year. • Resources are confusing, with outdated documents. 513 Main Street Project • Dave talked with Karen about next steps. • Possible attend the Community Planning and Development Commission when the developers discuss the project. • RMLD is also talking with developers about electrical features (EV charging stations).
