Review minutes, vote on acceptance
Minutes from June 12, 2019 accepted as amended
Ongoing Business:
• Officer Voting
• Motion for officers to remain in their current roles for the coming term
(2019/2020). Dave Zeek will remain as Chair and Ray Porter will remain as
Secretary.
• Motion seconded and passed
• Presentation to the Select Board (Meeting late July or early August)
• Date not yet certain. Participation optional, but welcomed by Dave.
• Suggested edits to selected slides.
• Andy to confirm date
Creation of a Joint Sustainability Group
• Explore a joint committee with Climate, RMLD and FinCom
• Advocate projects that promote sustainability projects in Reading
• Suggestion was made have initial individual meetings with participants to
define the scope of workshop.
• Awaiting action from Vanessa Alvarado of the Select Board to initiate the
meeting
• Enthusiastic excitement for the idea was expressed
• Identify "entry points" to each organization to facilitate future initiatives.
• Celeste appointed to be the Climate Committee's point of contact.

• An Act For a Utility Transition to Using Renewable Energy
• Transition gas suppliers to suppliers of heat services. Such as district heat
service loops
• Expands and provides standing to groups of customers or Municipalities
• Problem with the language related to gas leak is contrary to past negotiation
with previous gas leaks bills.
• Street Fair September 8, 2019
• Agreed to share a table with the UUC Green Sanctuary
