Ongoing Business:
Sustainability Issues in Reading
• Next RMLD regular meeting Thursday, 9/19 at 7:30pm
• Shaving the Peak Warning and Progress
• Solar workshop - Need to help the Town with the procurement process.
• Sustainability initiatives have been suggested for the town. The Select Board is
interested in finding ways to implement them.
• How to define and prioritize potential actions.
• Priority actions include shave the peak, solar panel installations, auto charging
stations.
• Email requests to Select Board and RMLD Commissioners before meeting (3 days
or more) can put the discussion on the agenda.
• Cross committee responsibility on some topics (CPDC on Zoning changes)
• Update climate action plan (last updated in 2009)
• Create matrix of possible actions and factors.

• Presentation to the Select Board (Meeting September 24)
• Participation optional, but welcomed by Dave.
• Dave to review current presentation for relevance now.
• Potential RCAC projects for coming year.
• Add task of preparing a matrix of sustainable actions.
