Town Manager Fidel Maltez began the meeting at 6:00 pm by accepting nominations for Chair. Nancy Twomey nominated Angela Binda for Chair. Angela Binda respectfully declined the nomination. Chuck Robinson nominated Carlo Bacci as Chair, as the Committee Is an ad hoc of the Select Board, which was seconded by Karen Janowski, and approved by unanimous roll call vote. Roll call vote: Andrew Dribin - Yes, Karen Janowski - Yes, Carlo Bacci - Yes, Nancy Twomey - Yes, Angela Binda - Yes, Chuck Robinson - Yes. Carlo Bacci officially called the meeting to order, and Heather Clish arrived remotely at 6:03 pm. Mr. Baccl opened the Floor for nominations for Vice Chair. Angela Binda nominated Chuck Robinson for Vice Chair, which was seconded by Karen Janowski and approved by unanimous roll call vote. Roll call vote: Andrew Dribin - Yes, Heather Clish - Yes, Karen Janowski - Yes, Carlo Bacci - Yes, Nancy Twomey - Yes, Angela Binda - Yes, Chuck Robinson - Yes. PageI Mr. Bacci recalled the purchase of the parcel on Symonds Way three years ago for $700,000. There are 13-14 acres total, but the Town has identified four acres as buildable. This Committee Is charged with determining what the Town would like to see there, such as recreation space, open space, etc. The Committee discussed the meeting schedule and agreed that meetings will be held every three weeks on Wednesdays, with the next meeting scheduled for January 18th at 6:00 pm. RCN will be asked to record the meetings. Angela Binda requested that information including the official charge of the Committee, and a reminder of what Town Meeting purchased be distributed to the Committee members. On a motion by Karen Janowski, and seconded by Angela Binda, the Symonds Way Exploratory Committee voted 7-0-0 to adjourn at 6:16 pm.
