Chair Richard Lopez called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Dr. Lopez reviewed the process for a Community Health Needs Assessment. A Request for Proposals (RFP) was submitted, and one proposal was received, which the Board discussed at its previous meeting on January 12th. The purpose of this meeting is to review the proposal and references. Public Health Director Ade Solarin stated that the respondent, Pear Associates, LLC, provided four references. Three of their references responded with glowing recommendations, great feedback, and highly recommended Pear Associates. Board members agreed that the proposal was excellent, the applicant met the criteria set forth In the RFP, the example provided was well done, and the references were outstanding. As an interview was not necessary, the Board agreed to move forward with the proposal. Procurement Officer Allison Jenkins reviewed the price proposal, which included hourly rates and estimated work hours for two staff members, graphic design for final documents, and other additional costs for an estimated total of $59,920. Ms. Jenkins explain that because the proposal was for more than what has been budgeted, the Health Director could work with the Town Manager to negotiate the fees and pricing. If the Town Manager and the firm can agree on a favorable price, Ms. Jenkins will write up the contract for the firm and Town Manager to sign. Once all signatures are received, a requisition can be entered into MUNIS, and the fine can begin their work. On a motion by Dr. Lopez and seconded by Ms. Dunnell, the Board of Health voted 3-0-0 to adjourn at 7:21 pm. Roll call vote: Kerry Dunnell - Yes, Paula Curren - Yes, Richard Lopez - Yes.
