Topics of Discussion:
This meeting was held in person and remote via Zoom.
Convened at 9:30 AM.
Nancy Tawadros— current associate seeking full membership on the council on aging— as an associate
member she has gotten to know the committee and the needs of the community. She believes she
brings a bit of diversity of thoughts and would like to put those into a voting membership on the council.
She helped her parents thru end stages of life and has been through the process of what resources are
available and still needed and she feels she brings that perspective to the council.
Karen Janowski —current associate seeking full membership on the council on aging — didn't realize I was
only an associate when I was first appointed. I always wanted to be a full voting member to have my
voice heard so when I saw there was an opportunity, I had to apply. She is the COA representative for
the Symonds Way committee. She is also working with Jenna in Recreation on the handbook. She wants
to be involved in the process and not just an associate. She is working to understand the trusts better
and what they can be used for.
Tim Kirwan — currently on Town Forest Committee, seeking to be on Trails Committee as well — I am a
trails volunteer already so I figured I would step up and be on the board as well so they can have a
quorum. The trails could use more depth in volunteers with skills and money. He enjoys being outside
and helping.
Jean Prato — new applicant for either the council on aging or historical commission — briefly volunteered
on the COA a couple years ago for about a year when they needed help. Interested and enjoy both
committees. Think its very important to recognize the seniors in town and the future growth of that
population. No openings on Historical Commission; one associate membership open on the Historic
District Commission. Wherever she can serve the committee best, would be fine with her; leaning

towards council on aging due to everything going on in town right now with the senior center
discussion.
Nancy Ziemlak— current member on the council on aging going down to an associate membership due
to her being on the board of registrars—She still wants to participate so if she cannot be a voting
member because of the state law, she would like to be an associate.
Melissa Pucci —seeking recreation membership— kids participated in recreational activities in town
growing up and she's interested in joining because she has noticed some programs that are lacking and
thinks she can bring a new perspective to the committee. She has a son with a disability and believes she
can bring that perspective to the committee and expand programing to a wider range of children.
Looking for the full membership. Her experience is running and creating programs. She is very
connected to the disabilities community and knows there is great need for more programs.
