Meeting was held by video conference due to the COVID pandemic.
• Discussed Phase 3 of the dead tree removal in Areas 7, 8, 9 and 10
o Bid of $38,493 from Mayer Tree
o Public notification about Phase 3 work is on the Town website and social media
o DCR grant received for $10,000 for Phase 3
o DPW contacted Kidder Peabody about the required separation from the gas line
near Area 7. They did not respond.
• Discussed how to bid invasive plant control. Need to prepare a scope of work to treat the
areas of greatest need. Will utilize the balance of the ARPA funds after Phase 3.
• Mike Bruno described NE Youth Cycling which is a club of 10 to 12 year old members.
Discussed the requirements that all riding be on established trails (no new trails),
pedestrians have the right of way, stay off the trails when wet and no construction of
jumps or other features. The TFC and Trails committee chair support the club's use of
the TF as long as the requirements are followed.
• Discussed the latest complaint to RPD about a large group of dogs not under voice
control. Ruff Life Pet Service said it was not about their dogs.
• Rick Esty said he found a deer hunting bait stand and trail cam which he reported to
RPD.
• Discussed a suggestion that a bike rack be installed in the proposed Lot 5 TF entrance.
The TFC voted to recommend a bike rack.
• Matt LeBlanc said that the fence at the end of Strout Ave prevents handicap access to
the TF. DPW to investigate.
• Approved the minutes of the 9/27/22 and 10/18/22 TFC meetings.
• Next Meeting: scheduled for 12/20/22 at 7:00 pm
