Motion to accept: Ron Assini, Nora Bucko, Michael Coltman, Mark Dockser, John Parson, John Sasso, John O'Neill. Walgreen Building Possibilities Mark Dockser: Response to RFP for location offer to lease for 20 years. Rate of $18,000 / month and then up to $36,000 /month. Did not act on the first RFP The Select board issued another RFP for rent or sale to others in the town. With a response date by September 11, 2022. Perhaps with a Town Meeting proposal in November. Mark visited the Walgreens on 9500 sf of floor space and 4500 of mezzanine and a room about 2000sf, Total space of-14,OOOsf. The RFP was specific for a Senior Center. The Town needs to determine what/how the space would be used as Senior Center in order to get costs estimates to present to an architect. How can ReCalc help with best information as what we might do, get some estimates and present to Town Meeting? John Sasso: What if they don't come back with any response to the 2nd RFP? Mark Dockser: The town is sensitive to the time constraints. Fidel Maltez: The board is looking at all options. Amy O'Brien: How do we respond to seniors coming into the center about Walgreens and other location. Fidel Maltez: Dialogue is good and address and refer to the ReCalc meetings. John O'Neill - What steps can we realistically take. Mark Dockser: Gather "A" What are the needs we know about now (space, programs, functions)? This is needed for early September. Gather "B": Gather and digest feedback from the Survey, Senior vs Multi-generalizational ? 9-5pm facility, extra hours, 24-7. Kitchen requirements. This is a needed by early October.
