Called to Order:
SC called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
581-591 Main St:
Brett Bennett was not available tonight but wants to meet with RHC probably to get thoughts
on current plan for parapet. SC will contact Mr. Bennett to schedule. VA voices concern that
the RHC should be involved with the partial demolition of any properties on the inventory.
186 Summer Avenue:
SC will schedule a meeting with Fidel by early November to discuss property. JEB asked
about this meeting being in executive session with town counsel. Selectboard has 186 Summer
on their agenda at 7 pm on October 25. VA will give a presentation. SC will confirm date
and will work with VA on presentation. VA: [C of A] has expired what do we do?
World War 2 Research:
Per this project began during Covid worked at Reading Post during shut down of schools
2020 RMHS grad. There were 32 casualties among Reading men lost of info from community
members and enthusiast
Stages of this project included:
• Identifying individuals who have stories
• Has applied for grants to covers cost of traveling to National Archives in St Louis to
look at personnel records on microfilm
• College Park MD —National Archives Presidential Libraries
She used Fold 3, State Archives services, Veterans Services officer in town Mr. Bohmiller who
has since left the position and his replacement is still settling in.
The RHC offered to help by checking in the archives for materials.

Meeting Minutes
Reading Arts:
RHC will be in Booth #9 Saturday from 10-2 on the Common. Sign up sheet was passed
around. Thanks to VA the theme will be "Made in Reading Mass in the 1800's". The
following items will be on display: Clock, Organ pipes, Silk hare, shoe making forms along
with a copy of At Wood End
Archives: S
Finances:
Per SRS there is $1,375. In the operating budget. With a payment to SC in process for an
external hard drive previously approved.
Minutes:
Modoa to accept the minutes from 9.14.2022 as amended.
Jas motion, SC second; vote 5-0-0.
Next Meeting: November 9th
