Introductions
School Improvement Plan - reviewed all elements of new plan for 2022-2023 plan. Ques - do
these goals align with other schools. Discussed making more specific some items regarding
use of assemblies, specific information about cultural activities. Goal of Site Council will hold
everyone accountable to make sure these objectives are being met this year. Currently, there is
no expectation that these initiatives will cost any additional funding. Clarified goal of developing
assemblies that support and celebrate a sense of belonging and diversity. Discussed
enrichments also align with this goal. Gina discussed grants that support PTO enrichments that
focus on culture and diversity. Ques about connectedness survey - will same one be used this
year for comparison? It can be used for comparison. Ques - asked if alignment is between
schools or within classrooms? It is intended to be between classrooms but will explore if
aligned between schools. Also want to make it more accessible to each teacher to be able to
observe other classrooms so they can be aligned in their approach to lessons.
Next steps - update language based on feedback, send out draft for review. For next meeting -
review proposals to measure these goals.
