Hillary Mateev called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
Case #22-09 — 73 Howard Street
ZBA Chair Hillary Mateev opened the public hearing for Case #22-09, 73 Howard Street. She read the
legal notice into the record and swore in members of the public wishing to speak.
The applicant's architect, Nancy Twomey gave a brief history of the existing home. She then explained
that her client was seeking a Special Permit for a second -story addition. Nancy also stated that the
applicants have letters of support from two of their abutting neighbors.
Hillary Mateev ask Building Commissioner Brett Bennet if he had any comments. He stated that the
applicants were there for existing nonconformity and no new nonconformities.
ZBA Member Cynde Hartman stated she had no comments.
ZBA Member Cy Caouette believed that this was straightforward and did not believe that the project
was detrimental to the neighborhood.
ZBA Member Patrick Houghton stated he did not believe that the project was detrimental to the
neighborhood.
Hillary Mateev stated that she did not believe that the project was detrimental to the neighborhood and
mentioned that there was also a sister home that had a similar addition.

Hillary Mateev opened the public comment and with no public comments, she closed the public
comment.
Cynde Hartman made a motion to approve a Special Permit for Case #22-09 - 73 Howard Street. Cy
Caouette seconded the motion and it was approved 5-0-0.
Vote was 5-0-0 (Mateev, Houghton, Grasberger, Caouette, Hartman)
Other Business
Staff Planner Andrew MacNichol and the Board had a brief discussion about moving the Zoning Board of
Appeals meeting back to Wednesdays. He also noted that at the next meeting they will have to
reorganize the Board by selecting a Chair and Vice -Chair.
Cynde Hartman made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:i5PM. Andrew Grasberger seconded the
motion and it was approved 5-0-0.
