General Business
Scatterine Garden — Elise was present to further discuss. There was an additional fee to have the
name and DOB/DOD engraved on slates that were posted at the entrance of the "Garden".
Could be the closest thing to the "Green Burial". Mike will scout out the possible areas and
report back to the group about each; would one be better than the other? Location and how we
would want it to look would be the next steps. Maybe include a bench and have shrubs around to
give it some privacy.

Meeting Minutes
How: White rocks? Ivy? Ground cover?
Where:Forest Glen? Should be an area that cannot be used for graves. Should be an
isolated area, not out mixed in with the graves.
Who Scatters: Family or Cemetery Supervisor? It would really depend on what the
family wanted.
Cemetery Funds — Headstone repair
Rob has started on the grave stones. He started on the ones that were about to fall over. After he
started working, it was realized that the money could not be used to repair stones. The funds for
the care of stones cannot come from the sale of the lot. Could the funds that were set aside for
this work be used to plant new trees. Currently owe around $6,000. Are there grants out there
that can be applied for? Could reach out to preservation trust. Possible that they could have
funds there that may be used.
Could before and after pictures still be shared out — could be an opportunity to get funds. Ginny
will write something up and share it with Julie and Jane to share with the Community.
Conservation workshops — Elise will question if they are looking for cemeteries that need work?
If they are, she will mention Laurel Hill.
Cemetery Garage — Requested to be put back on the agenda. Bill spoke to Fidel. Maybe the
Voke School could draw up plans for a new garage in the back-right hand comer of Wood End.
Miscellaneous — Article in the paper about the monuments being done and cleaning the graffiti
by Rob Surabian. This Friday he will pickup and fix the um by the "Jenny" monument.
We will not be moving forward with changing the language for the sale of lots. After further
conversation, it was realized that there is some discretion, and it is not needed to move forward.
A vote passed 4-0 to not change the language in the regulations on a motion by Caitlin and
seconded by Brian.
On June 12i°, Reading Remembrance Tour — Guided historical tour around town common,
cemetery and Library. CATO group.
Next Meeting — July 12, 2022 at 6:OOpm.
Adjourn
The meeting adjourned at 7:00 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Caitlin Salmon
Secretary
