Meeting called to order at 7:01 pm Roll Call: Mark Dockser; John O'Neill; Ron Assini; John Parsons, Nora Bucko, John Sasso. Call to accept meeting minutes from previous meeting on March 30, 2022 Minor change to last line. Roll Call: Mark Dockser; John O'Neill; Ron Assini; John Sasso, John Parsons, Nora Bucko Members from the Council on Aging joined the meeting. Jean Delius: UMASS Consultants are available for another community forum meeting around June 1, 2022 Marilyn Shapleigh: How does another town forum impact the postcard mailing timeframes? It may impact with the coordination with printing, developing the list etc. This Agenda has been prepared in advance and represents a listing of topics that the chair reasonably anticipates will be discussed at the meeting. However the agenda does not necessarily include all matters which may he taken at this meeting Mark Dockser: We should focus on the current communication plan and continue to inform the public where to look for more information, Town Website, flyers etc. What is the call to action on the postcard? Jean Delios: Perhaps the to get more information to sign up for the Pleasantries newsletter or call the Center for guidance. Marilyn Shapleigh: Will be sending out the postcard for review and confirm with the printer on production dates. John O'Neill will review the ReCalc content on the postcard. John Sasso: Is there a possibility to move the community forum meeting by one more week? Mark Dockser: We should investigate the use of local school facilities for holding the Community forum. The postcard should have content that has lasting value with dates. In addition, we should provide the option to opt -in to an email list to get updates. Jean Delios: To check if the UMASS consultants would be available for a lune 1, 2022, Community forum meeting. Confirmed Ron Assini: Does the town have the town IT department have the capability to capture opt -in email address if people would like to keep up to date for ongoing communications on ReCalc activity. John Sasso: Shared the ReCalc Communication Plan that he developed. Discussion around having a paper survey available if requested. Tom Mottl Brought up the method of the World Cafe events. Last one was done at the library in 2017. Discussed a couple of different potential locations, Unitarian Church as an example. Propose that ReCalc develop a task force to put one together quickly. It would be beneficial to have smaller (precinct level) neighborhood meetings. Jean Delios The toughest part is getting a variety of people to provide feedback. UMASS is looking for a dedicated date for UMASS and ReCalc to get review the survey. This Agenda has been prepared in advance and represents a listing of topics that the chair reasonably anticipates will be discussed at the meeting. However the agenda does not necessarily Include all matters which may be taken at this meeting Ron Assini ReCalc and COA at a booth at Reading Family Day on lune 11, 2022. Just another venue to distribute information. Creation of video will require a project plan leverage resources like high school students and RCN. A walk through of the current Senior Center Determine if a World Cafe style meeting is something we should consider as another type of community meeting. Ron Assini and Nora Bucko volunteer to work with Tom Mottl on potential next steps. Mark Dockser The ARPA committee is actively looking for funding projects (Pandemic relief funds) for a feasibility study. There is a list of criteria that need to be considered to qualify for relief funding The town has $7.5m remaining in the fund. Next ReCalc Meetings: Remote only. Next Meeting scheduled Tuesday May 100. 7:00pm—9:OOpm 2nd meeting scheduled for Wednesday May 2511 7:00pm—9:OOpm When and where and how is the next public forum?
