Mr. Ensminger asked her to tell us about herself and her est in the Climate Advisory
Committee.
Ms. Kracke explained she currently does a lot of science research for her job. She has
always cared about and had an interest in nature and the environment. She has been
attending the Climate Advisory Committee meetings since April. She has a lot of experience
with social media outreach and thinks that is a skill the committee could utilize. She has
lived in tjlg areafor,a. while lived in Stoneham before moving to Reading.

Trustees.
Mr. Berman asked Mslodgett to explain why she would like to be on the board.
Ms. Blodgett noted she has had an interest in cemeteries and genealogy for a long time.
She has recently been attending the Cemetery Board meetings. She would love to get
Involved to help out Laurel Hill. She noted all the cemeteries are in pretty good shape but
stones are falling down due to old age and she would like to help work towards fixing those.
Mr. Ensminger asked Ms. Blodgett her thoughts on dogs in cemeteries. Ms. Blodgett noted
while technically it is not allowed already, she really would love more people to spend more
time in the cemeteries.

The Board of Health had three new applicants; Emmy Dove, Heidi Pfeifer and Kevin Sexton.
Emmy Dove was not able to make her interview.
Heidi Pfeifer was the next applicant.
Mr. Ensminger asked her to explain why she was interested in the Board of Health.
Ms. Pfeifer explained she has a been a nurse for 32 years and is looking to give back to the
community and do some public service.
Mr. Berman asked if there were any specific topics she wishes to work on while on the board
and she noted nothing specific but that she worked with the health agent years ago doing
some clinics.
Ms. Pfeifer asked what the general issues the board usually deals with Mr. Ensminger
explained that we have a day - to - day health agent in the office t the Board of Health
oversees monthly reports. They also help put regulations m to a ke their most recent
one dealing with tobacco and selling to patrons under 18.
Mr. Berman asked Ms. Pfeifer if she has been following the f Health recently and she
noted she has not.
Mr. Ensminger asked her if she is able to meet the tirrx ireme hey usually meet on
Wednesdays around 5:30. She noted some Wednes he Is on ca can usually work
around her schedule when she knows there is a g.
The next applicant was Kevin Sexton.
Mr. Berman asked Mr. Sexton why he is intere ' the of Health.
Mr. Sexton noted he Is a former Selectmen and it a board is in a time of need
and he is willing to step up and volun er his time t

The motion was seconded by Mr. Ensminger and approved with a 2-0-0 vote.
Mr. Berman moved that the Volunteer Appointment Subcommittee recommend
Kevin Sexton and Heidi Pfeifer to a term on the Board of Health ending June 30,
2020.
Mr. Ensminger asked if there was any discussion.
Mr. Berman noted any other time he felt Ms. Pfeifer would be a great addition to the board
but at this moment his thoughts are Mr. Sexton is here for the right reasons will serve what
is needed at the moment and he hopes they can find a place for Ms. Pfeifer in the future.

Mr. Berman moved that the Volunteer Appointment Subcommittee recommend
Kevin Sexton to a term on the Board of Health ending June 30, 2020. The motion
was seconded by Mr. Ensminger and approved with a 2-0 vote.
Sally Hoyt wrote a letter regarding her membership on the Council on Aging. She is
requesting to step down and become and associate member and let someone else become a
full member.
Mr. Berman moved that the Volunteer Appointment Subcommittee recommend
Sally Hoyt to an associate membership on the Council on Aging with a term
expiring on June 30, 2019. The motion was seconded by Mr. Ensminger and
approved with a 2-0 vote.
Mr. Berman made a motion to adjourn at 7:07 PM, second', by Mr. Ensminger and
approved with a 2-0 vote.
