There are two applicants for Communit nninq `d Development Commission. Tony D'Arezzo was the first t� idate. Mr. Ensminger asked Mr. D'Arezzo what Ydemnterested in CPDC. Mr. D'Arezzo noted he has been going to CPDC meetings for years now following along all the projects coming through. Mr. D'Arezzo noted he ha n thr gh the whole CPDC and permitting process himself back when he put an additi on his house so he knows what other applicants are going through when they come be'"'re the board. Mr. Berman asked Mr. D'Arezzo what his thoughts are about development in town in general. Mr. D'Arezzo explained that development in Reading is balancing act between deciding which projects are better suited commercial or residential. It's hard to find that line but it needs to be done. Mr. Ensminger asked if the time commitment was ok and Mr. D'Arezzo noted yes, he goes to every meeting anyway. Mr. Ensminger then asked if there would be any work conflicts for him. Mr. D'Arezzo noted he does not foresee any, he works for a forklift company; besides possibly being an abutter to a project. P., I 1 Rachel Hitch was the next applicant. Mr. Ensminger asked her what interests her in CPDC. Ms. Hitch noted she has been interested in the economic development of the town ever since she moved here. She moved in while the Calareso's Farm Stand was in the process of moving their location and that got her interested in other development around town. She noted the town seems to be very active right now in development and she wants to be apart of it in some way. Mr. Ensminger asked her if the time commitment was ok and she said yes. Ms. Hitch also noted she has professional experience in planning and economic development. She has worked on large and small projects back in Now York in multiple different positions. She has been on the business side, she has alwen in rezoning processes, how to assemble sites to attract developers and al2mwn on the marketing and numbers side of projects. She also noted she was intereste on project when she heard about it and has been following along with that. Mr. Ensminger asked if there would be any noted no. Mr. Ensminger and Mr. Berman discussed nol economic development and the process of it. Mr. Berman made a motion to re Community Planning and Develo an associate position expiring 6-3 the motion passed with a 2-0 vote.
