Kathy appreciated that people came back to the cabin to assist putting things away. Page 1 1 ICU �r° Town of Reading Meeting Minutes Kathy will send out potential dates for follow up on the next section of boardwalk 3) Kiosk Repairs Update There was discussion about various signs and kiosks that need repair. Various members volunteered to assist. Waiting to hear from scouts about removing old dilapidated signs. 4) Membership Update Various members are applying for renewal. There was discussion of the process of associated becoming full members. 5) Upcoming Events (5/17 -Girl Scouts, 5/22 -Tot Walk, 6/11 -Friends and Family Day 10:30-3), 6/24 -Library Open House— Dave and Ray) Kathy will handle girl scouts and tot walk Ben will do 10-12 on June 11 Kathy will do 12-2 John Kastrinos 2-3 6) 2023 Budget Development Kathy explained the $3000 annual budget request. Chuck Tirone will manage the budget and expenditures. Approved by Kathy Kelly, Ben Ream, Dave Williams There is $65 left in the current budget. We will use it for ratchet straps and bungee cords depending on cost 7) Updates from Conservation Chuck updated that there is no progress on Veteran's way trail entrance. Lanetta lane- trail to Eastway Chuck has potential volunteers for trail work in the summer from Next Step ministries. We discussed having them build boardwalks at Pinevale using existing stock from the cabin or materials from the grant. 8) Other Business Chuck Lloyd is leading an Amazon group pulling buckthorn in the Town Forest on May 12. There was discussion of graffiti at Pinevale Tim Kirwan shared about a man he encountered possibly camping in the Town Forest. It was suggested to contact Chris Cole or the police in such a situation. 8.)
