Review of Past Meeting Minutes
The minutes of November 9, 2021 were reviewed and approved by a vote of 5-0 on a motion by
Virginia Blodgett and seconded by Brian Boyle.
General Business
Kristin Abbott, former Reading resident for 52 years, requested a hearing before the Board.
Unfortunately, never thought to buy a plot before leaving Reading, but would appreciate
consideration. Kristin loves the thought of having future generations visit her in Reading.

03 s Meeting Minutes
Mike — policy: 1. The sale of lots is limited to current Reading residents only.
Plots can not be purchased by a town resident and sold by that resident. If the resident no longer
wants the lot, it can be sold back to the Town.
Can the Board make an adjustment/is it worth making the adjustments? Mike has gotten many
calls from former residents inquiring about purchasing a lot. If the Board decides to make a
change, it would be something such as "Resident of the Town for 50+ years."
Motion made by Ginny — "Sale of lots limited to current Reading residents, or 50+ years as a
resident." Proof of 50+ years of residency to be provided by the requester. Seconded by Bill
Brown. Vote to discussed updating the Rules and Regulations 5-0.
The process will begin now that the motion has been made.
Cemetery Funds — Headstone repair
There are funds, but a transfer would have to be made to general funds.
Ginny just received an email from Rob Surabian — wondering if plans have been made, hoping to
finalize his schedule for 2022-2023.
Who will determine which stone and the order in which they need to be repaired? Mike
Hannaford and Rob Sumbian along with Bill and Ginny from the Board will assist in these
decisions.
Motion made by Bill to transfer up to $9,000 to general cemetery funds for restoration of stones
at Laurel Hill and seconded by Caitlin was approved by a vote of 5-0
Scattering garden will hold off until the next meeting. Michael will see if we can get Elise to the
next meeting.
Adjourn
The meeting adjourned at 6:44 PM
