C. New Business
1. SEPAC Board Changes
Kelly Coma resigned from the board
Laura Joelson, Maria Morgan, and Eunice Kenyon joined the board
2. Updates from the Reading Public Schools (RPS)
The new chairs from Wood End Elementary School and Reading
Memorial High School were introduced
RPS is doing reviews of the following programs:
SAIL: located at: Wood End, Coolidge Middle School and RMHS
SOAR: Birch Meadow, Coolidge, and RMHS

REACH: Barrows, Coolidge, and RMHS
Embark: Coolidge and RMHS
RPS is using a vertical alignment approach to meet the needs of
students
RPS is investing some COVID school funding in outside consultants
A new administrative assistant for student services will begin on
1/24/22
Spring Professional Development will include Reading with Keys to
LiteracyrKS11
Some Special Education staff will be getting trained in Down's
Syndrome during a 10 week course and the plan is to then use a train the
trainer model where staff will train other staff about what they have learned
Parents Workshop are planned for Executive Functioning and Eating
Disorders
3. Discussion of Open Meeting Law
Discussion was held on changing the SEPAC bylaws to provide for board
members to discuss SEPAC business outside the requirements of the open
meeting law. A bylaw committee was formed to propose potential revisions to
the SEPAC Charter to implement this change
4. Discussion on Agendas and Minutes
It was agreed that the new board will decide how to move forward regarding
posting agendas and minutes
D. Public Comment
In the next meeting a revote will occur on disbanding the Reading in Reading SEPAC
sub committee
