Review and vote on minutes from the January 13, 2021,meeting Spellings of names will be corrected in the minutes. Christine Lusk motioned to approve the January 13, 2021 minutes and Marianne Downing seconded the motion. 2. Continue Handbook Equity Audit a.) Finalize Changes to Rubric a. Some of the revision comments were more"outcome"based instead of components of an equitable handbook. b. Mr.Norton read/shared the changed portions of the rubric c. Revised Rubric shared by Mr.Norton is HERE. d. Comments by council members i. Added economics to last indicator under Family, Community and Partnership ii. Added race to 4" indicator under code of conduct,behavior and attendance iii. Is this document editable as we go through the process? 1. We can note where we ran into complications. b.) Identify Major Areas of the Handbook a. Mission&Vision statements being drafted by We The Change students who will come and present their drafts in March(or April) b. Attendance c. Communication d. General Expectations e. Code of Conduct f. Academic Page I 1 (Ricki and Brendan will put the handbook into sections that match the sections of the rubric better in order to prepare for the next steps.) c.) Next Steps a. Each group will have a section of the rubric, go through the handbook,score each indicator and find evidence of inequity/equity. b. Groups of 2 look at one part of the rubric while in their same group,another pair would do the second part of the rubric and another pair would do the third part of the rubric. c. 6 people fill out one full rubric so we have 2 full rubrics completed in the end. d. Identify additions, extractions, edits. e. We The Change students will draft the school mission and vision statements. 3. Other 1. Should we recruit more staff, students and parents to join the next 3 meetings to support this work? a.
