The meeting was conducted via Zoom and was called to order at 7:02pm.
1. Minutes (amended) from the meeting on January 6, 2021 were reviewed and
approved.
2. Tree Policy
The Trails Committee asked that the section regarding the Trails Committee paying
for tree removal be removed. Jane Kinsella (DPW) said that she moved $3000 in her
budget to Tree Removal.
3. Storm Water Plan at Maillett
Chuck Tirone (Conservation Administrator) asked that the Trails Committee keep the
Order of Conditions open from the Maillett trail project for the storm water evaluation
project. Kim will talk to Chuck further about this.
4. Update on Bridge Repairs
• Town Forest - Ben shoveled dirt off Alligator Alley
• Town Forest - Kathy made temporary repairs to a bridge on the Pine Ridge trail
(red trail near Alligator Alley). The bridge really needs a third joist.
• Pinevale - John said that a Boy Scout leader was supposed to send us a report.
We never received it.
Bare Meadow - boardwalk sections on blue trail near cemetery need to be
replaced

We should schedule site visits after weather warms up and the snow melts.
5. T-Shirts
Kim sent in the Purchase Order so the t-shirts have been ordered. They will be
delivered to Town Hall in February.
6. Update on Maillett Grant
• Kim sent in final report
• Grant funders need to do site review
• We need a Certificate of Compliance to close out the grant
7. Picnic Table/Kiosk Installation
We need to wait until the Storm Water project is complete. The picnic table and kiosk
are at the cabin.
8. New Projects
Bridge repairs and maintenance - 2021 should be "maintenance" year
• $1,045 left in budget (to be spent before June 30)
o Replacement tires for garden carts
o T-shirts
o Sign acknowledging RTP for Recreational Trails Grant
• Possible future (2022?) projects
o New trail just north of Burbank Ice Arena
o Trail near Higgins to (former) P&S (part of Birch Meadow Recreation
Plan?)
• Signage and kiosks
9. Annual Report
Kathy prepared it and sent it in. It is available on the Town web site.
