Meeting called to order at 6:00 PM. The meeting minutes from the 1-11-2021 were approved as submitted. The Committee began the assessment of the Water Tower Project. Mark Dockser began a review of the water project giving the group an update to the Permanent Building Committee (PBC). Mark Dockser gave the group a background on why the tank is getting replaced. Ryan Percival spoke about where his team was on the project. Ryan also spoke about the steps they are taking with Community Planning and Development Commission (CPDC) and the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for approvals. The bid time frame would be sometime in May 2021. Ryan gave the group a description of how the Water Tower is made and the types of materials used. Mark Dockser felt that the PBC would add value to the project. The PBC inquired about the construction of the tank and how it would be assembled on site. Ryan Percival went into more detail about the project schedule in terms of bidding, submittal schedule, and the start of construction - late summer/early fall. Page 1 1 Ryan showed the design documents up on the screen and reviewed the site plans and how the new tank would look. Greg Stepler and Mike Bean felt as though their experience in working in Boston may be of help working on sites with little or no room to work. Greg mentioned that the PBC would have normally looked at something like this earlier in the process. The role of PBC would work better in conjunction with Department of Public Works (DPW) since the funding is in place, Owners Project Manager (OPM) has been hired, and design is underway. Discussion on Water Tower ended at 7:00 PM Pat Tompkins moved into discussing the narrative for the remaining town buildings. The Group decided to split the buildings up and do the narratives. Assignments are as follows: Nancy Twomey Town Hall Greg Stepler Senior Center Brad Congdon Police Department John Coote Main Street Fire Station Mike Bean Department of Public Works Kirk McCormick West Side Fire Station No new business. Meeting adjourned at 7:47 PM. Page 1 2
