ARTICLE 1. Robert P. Sumberg requested the Selectmen to report
on the status of the Town-owned Liquor Store, and the Boards intention
to issue liquor licensesi to which Fred C. Kenney, Jr. , Chairman of
the Board of Selectmen, requested the Town Counsel to report on the
status of the Town's appeal to the State Supreme Court in regard to
the Town's request to establish a Town-owned Liquor Store. This was
done by Town Counsel , James W. Killam, III.
Fred C, Kenney, Jr. , indicated that the Board o£ Selectmen intended
to commence issuing liquor licenses without awaiting further decision
from the Supreme Court.
LARTICLE 1. On motion of Douglass L. Barker it was voted that the
Selectmen be instructed to continue their course on the Town-owned
Liquor Store guestion to its conclusion in the State Supreme Court.
On motion of Fred C, Kenney, Jr. , it was voted that Article 1 be
inde£initely postponed.
On motion of Fred C. Kenney, Jr. , it was voted that the meeting
stand adjourned sine die at 10:45 P. M.

P. M.
And to meet at the Memorial High School Auditorium, 62 Oakland

at seven forty-£ive in the evening, at which time and place the fol-

Town Meeting Members in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 7
of the Acts of 1943.

Committee to acquire by rental , lease, purchase, transfer or otherwise,
administratives space for school department central offices, and to see

of such acquisition together with equipping, renovating, restoring, and
� modernizing, said sums to be expended under the direction of the School

installation o£ additional street lights on the public streets dur�

ments and to see if the Town will acceot the public way laid out by the
Board of Public Works as "C" Street and to see what sum the Town will �

funds or otherwise, and appropriate for the construction of said Way, or
what it will do in relation thereto.

authorizing the assessment o£ betterments, such highway being laid out
in accordance with plan duly approved by the Board of SUrvey and filed
in the O£fice of the Town Clerk in accordance with the statutory require-
:i,ents and to see if the Town will accept the public way laid out by the
Board of Public Works as FRANK D. TANNER EXTENSION and to see what sum
the Town will raise by borrowing, or from the tax levy, or transfer from

ARTICLE 52. To see if the Town will vote to accept the report
of the Board of Public Works upon the laying out as a Public S4ay o£ a �
Private Way known as COLBURN ROAD EXTENSION under the provision of law
authorizing the assessment of betterments , ,uch highway being laid out
in accordance �oith plan dUly approved by the Hoard of Survey and filed
in the Office of the Town Clerk in accordance with the statutory reqvire-
ments and to see if the Town will accept the public way laid out by the
Board of Public Works as COLBURN ROAD EXTENSION and to see what sum the
Town will raise by borrowing, or from the tax levy, or trans£er from
available £unds or otherwise and appropriate for the construction of
said Way or what it will do in relation thereto.

propriate for the purpose of makinq improvements to the water system, in-
cluding the construction of small bUildings, the installation of pipes,
fittings , equipment and related facilities , or what it will do in rela-
tion thereto.

from the tax levy or transfer from available funds or otherwise, and ap-
propriate for Child Welfare Work, to be expended under the direction of
the combined Visiting Nurse Association, Inc. and the Board of Health,
or what it will do in relation thereto.

propriate £or the purpose of providing co-operative or complementary �
facilities to out-patient clinics established or to be establishe� in
accordance with the provisions of Chapter 123, Section 13P. of the General
Laws, in cooperation with the Department of Mental flealth and other aqen-
cies collaborating with said Department, and for providing payment £or
services rendered, or to be rendered, by such public or private aqencies
in such clinic in accordance with the provisions of General Laws Chap-
ter 40, Section 5, Clause (40-C) the same to be expended under the direc-
tion of the School Committee or of the Board of Health or under the joint
direction of both, or what it will do in relation thereto.
