Josh calls meeting to order at 7:04 pm
1. Sharing-
a. Chanukah coming up
2. Police Read Out (Chief comments)-
a. Nothing to report.
b. How's mask up reading been going? Mostly education, not about ticketing.
c. Fully staffed which is great.
d. Busy times for calls,though not traditional stuff due to higher unemployment.
Fraud and larceny scams around package theft.
i. Fishing at post office. Got a tip from a good citizen and caught the
person.
3. MLK Jr Event- how approach remotely
a. Theme- Beloved Community
b. Josh update
L Josh suggested we cease planning full blown remote/live event and
support library events
ii. Kerri suggested a statement from HRAC that due to covid, we are
supporting and advocating Library events and other events throughout
the month
iii. Amy- how about all pre-recorded in the spirit of the event. Then do a
release on FB like the drama club. Or a scheduled program for releasing

content over the day. She can have someone from the library do a pre-
recorded reading. And reach out to Creative Arts for some other ideas for
recorded content.
iv. Amy suggested we reach out to select board about'what does beloved
community mean to you.Josh will reach out for their participation.
Possibly end with open ended question to post back to HRAC page.
c. Kyung- maybe some short testimonial videos. Can ask some members to help as
well with the assembly of the content into a single video. Needs content at least
1 week before deadline.Can the response be from individuals vs a group?Yes.
Hope there will be a diverse group.
i. Kyung will reach out to community member for a visual for digital flyers
and cover
d. Kyung to reach out to David M to see what pictures he has from community. He
will create a collage. Library can send images over to Kyung as well.
e. TIMELINE:
I. Communicate which groups are contributing recorded content (and what
type) by Dec 2411
ii. Content should get to Kyung by 1/5/20
f. Kerri can upload final video for access via Youtube and FB for viewing around
9:30 AM on MLK Day
g. Josh make MOTION: HRAC to provide an all remote, pre-recorded event
celebrating MILK and Beloved Community that the community can access for
viewing on Jan 18th. Kyung second. Motion passed [4-0]
4. Kerri- FB page updates. Kerri also added links to other sites for those events we were
highlighting. For November and before our next meeting,
