Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: Caitlin Saunders
Topics of Discussion:
The meeting was held remotely via Zoom.
First up was Geri Cramer. She was applying for Board of Health. Now that they have a new
schedule it works better for her. She is also working from home now so she has a little bit
more flexibility. She would like the associate position not the Chair. She wants to learn a
little before being a full time member.
Brian Healy also applying for Board of Health. He noted the schedule should work for him
the only potential conflict is that he is the coach for his son's soccer team. Other than that,
7pm should work for him most of the time.
Richard Lopez was the last candidate for Board of Health. He is currently an associate
member and would like to step up to the full position. Meetings have been going from 7-
9pm lately which is much more doable than it had been in the beginning.
Last up for this evening was Cynthia Hartman. She is applying for ZBA. She's from Dedham
but moved here a few years ago. She has attending many zoning meetings for her
profession before. She can't think of any scheduling conflicts at the moment. She works in
real estate law and mostly does work in the city. If her work ever came before Reading ZBA
she would of course recuse herself but she does not see that happening. She would like to
be a full member if possible.
Karen Herrick and Carlo Bacci discussed the candidates for Board of Health. There is one
associate and one full member open. All of them are more than qualified. They both noted
they were fine with either of the candidates. It was noted Geri Cramer seems to have a little
more flexibility. It is a hard decision as all candidates are more than capable. They figured
they would each make a recommendation and see how the full board felt.
The VASC adjourned at 5:42 PM.
