Also in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 7 of the Acts of
i943, in each of the four pracincts, the number of Town Meeting Mem-

for certein persons in the service of such county, city, two or
district end thair dependents, be accepted by thia town?"
For these purposes tke polls will be opened at each of the four
precincts at seven o� clock A. M. and will close at eight o� clock P.M.

ARTSCLE 5. To see if the Town will vota to authorize the Town
Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectman, to borrow from time to
time in antici ation o£ the revenue of the financiel year beginning
January 1, i95�, and to issue a nota or notea therefor, payabla within
one year, and to renew any note or notes as may be given £or a period
of less than one year in accordance with Sactions4 and 17, Chapter L�lF,

for tha purpose o£ foreclosing in the Land Court, pursuant to provis-
lons of Section 65 of Chapter 60 0£ the General Lawa, the rigrit o£

ARTICLE 7. To aee what sum the Town will raise and appropriate

see what sum the Town will raise and appropriate for the purchase of
a new Cruising Car for the Police Department, or what it will do in
relation thereto.

they may deterffine that portion of the easement acquired by the

on the Northerly side of Intervale Terrace, and bounded as follows:

ARTICLE 23. To aee 1£ the Town will vote to amend Section 10
of the Regulations relating to Job Classi£ications under Article
VIII-A of the By-laws relating to the Wage end Hour Classifieetions
by striking out said Section 10 and substituting in place thereof
the £ollowing:
10. Onertime.
All eompensation £or any position to which an hourly rate appliea
in the schedule, excepting the classification of foreman, junior
clerk and senSor clerk, shall be made at this hourly rate for the
standard work week of the respective department. Overtime at the �
rate of one and one-half timea the reguler rate shall be paid for the
number o£ hours workad in excess of the standard work week in any
given week. Men called for emergency work outside of their regular
working houra shall be credited with a minimum of three houra� time.
If an hourly rate is not shown on the schedule, no overtime will
be paid excapt to foreman. In case of a £oreman, overtime shall be
paid if the hours actually worked in eny one raguler work week ex-
ceed sizty. He sha11 be paid for all hours worked in excess of fifty
at the regular hourly rate. The hourly rate shall be datermined by
dividing the regular weekly salarq by £orty. The above overtime for
foremen shall apply only to emergencies which shell be defined as a
set of conditions wherein the work to be performed cannot be post-
poned.
In the ceae of ,junior and senior clerical employees, overtime
shall be paid, under regulations established by tha Personael Board,
at the rate of straight time for hours worked over thirty-seven and
a hal£ hours in any given work week through forty hours, and one and
a half timea tha basic hourly rate £or hours worked in excesa oY
forty houra. -

Classifications under Article VIII-A of the By-Lawa relating to the ■
Wage and Hour Clasaification Plan in the following menner:- �

writer. Assists in prepar�tion of ineeting and hearing calendara,

ARTICLE 31. To see i£ the Town will vote to emend the General
By-Lawa of the Town by adding the following nevc Article;-
ARTICLE XIX. Council £or the Aging.
The council for the Aging shall consist of the Chairraen of the
Chslrman�-of the Board o£ Axblic Welfare, the Chairman o£ the Recrea-
tion Corr�ittea, the Chairman o£ the Board of Health, the Superinten-
dent of Schools, or their respective representatives, and not leas
than three nor more than seven additional membara appointed by the
Board of Selectmen from the voters and rasidents o£ the Town. The
Chairman of the Council shall be designated from time to time by the
Board of Selectmen. Appointees shall hold office until successors
are deaignated. The Council may appoint such elerks end other em-
ployees as it may require.

to meet problems of the aging in coordination with progrems o£ the
Council For the Aging established under Section 73 of Chapter 6 of the

By-Law and Zoning Map by changing the area hereinafter deacribed
from Residence A-2 M strict to Industrlal Distrlct:- � �
Beginning at a point, said point being the Town Bound at the
�unction of the Town Boundary lines of Reading, Stoneham and City
of Woburn;
Thence in a Northwesterly direction along the Town lines between
the Town of Reading and the City o£ Woburn, a distance of 820 fest,
more or less, to a point where the Town Line crosses State Highway
Route #128;
Thence in a Southeasterly, Easterly and Northeasterly direction
along the Southerly sidelina of State Highway Route #128 a dSstence
of 3953 feet, more or less, to the division property line o£ land
o£ Margaret Marcella end Ruth Shtrley Larson and land of Eleanor
Marsh and Stanley C. Brown;
Thence in a Southeasterly direction along tha division property
line of land of Margaret Marcella and Ruth Shirley Larson and land
of Eleanor Marsh and Stanley C. Brown a distance of 276.8 feet,
more or less, to a point on the Town Boundary lina between the Town

Pursuant to the £oregoing warrant and the Constable�s return
theron, a Town Election was held at the time and place specified 3n
the Warrant. �
In the ebsence of the Prtoderator, the Tovai Clerk, Boyd H. Stewart,
callad the meeting to order at 7:00 A.M, and asked for nominations
£or a moderator to act at this meeting,
Arthur L. Harris moved that Kenneth C, Latham be named Moderator to
act at thia meeting. �
On motion o£ Arthur L. Harris it was voted that the nominations be
closed.
On motion oF Arthur L. Harris it was voted that the Tovn Cle rk be
� instructed to cast one ballot for Kenneth C. Latham for Moderator to
act at this meeting.
The Town Clerk then cast one ballot £or Kenneth C . Latham to act �
temporary Moderator, and declared him elected.
The warrant was partially read by the Town Clerq when on motion o£
Arthur L. Harris, it was voted to dispense with the ihrther reading of
the warrant except the Constable ' s Return, which was then read by the
Town Clerk.
The ballot boxes were examined by the Constable in charge end each
found to be emptg, and allregistered 000.
The polls were declared open bg Kenneth C. Latham� with the Pollow-
