or as authorized or reauired by law, £ire or dischar�?e any �un, fowl-

but provisions o." this section shall not npply to the Chief o£ Police
or other Polic� OPfir,ers in the performnnce of t.heir duties nor to
the use of such �veapons nt any military exercises or any established
rifle rnnge or in the lni^rful defense of the peryon, fanily or pro-
perty of any citizen, nor to the ri�hts and arivile�es o" an oivner

lNhoever viol:+tes the orovision of this s^ction shall be punished

In the absence of the T4oderator, the Town Clerk, Boyd H.
Stecrart, called the meeting to order at 8:00 P. M. nnd asked for
nomYnations for a temporary moderator at this meeting.
Kenneth C. Lathac! noved that Sanuel H. Davis be elected to act
as ter,tporary moderator at this meeting.
On notion o£ Keneeth C. L•.�tht�m it vrns voted that the nominations
be clased.
�i On motion of Kenneth C. Lcitham it was� voted that the Town Clerk
be instructed to cast one ballot for Samuel H. Davis £or Moderator
to act at this meeting.
The Torm Clerk then cast one bflllot for P4r. Davis to act as
temporary modern�tor, and declared him elected.
Mr. Davis wes then sv✓orn in, by the Tovrn Clerk, as temporary
Moderator.
