Review and vote on minutes from the May 13, 2020, meeting-Minutes Approved Motion made by Christine Lusk and Seconded by Eileen Manning Add: Enough/advanced notification for calls and assignments—no same day notification during remote learning 2. End of year -5'h graders will be given their team but they need to be flexible depending what happens in the fall -A Video will be provided with Team Theme -6ih and 7'h graders will not be informed until school is out-this is typical -8'h grade promotion ceremony Wednesda(June 17ih) @ 6 8`h grade drive through Thursday(June 18th) 11-1 to pick up yearbook, awards if applicable -Friday (June 19th) last day of school 3. Planning for next school year a. What will school look like? What about pairing down the scope of curiculum covered? Not likely but the school has looked at what has been taught to mastery from previous year working on what are the skills for the next year- prerequisite skills that would need to be taught in addition to the grade level curriculum Page 1 1 Any assessment exam at the beginning of year? Definitely for math if in person How to assess skills if remote continues? That conversation just started No exact answers for what next year will look like. Pretty sure going back as a hybrid model. Central office admin is getting a difference sense this week after participating in some DESE meetings. -Many organizations have been rallying in support of going back to brick and mortar -Parker classes net year will have about 22 students in each class except honors math. -state talking about red, yellow, green light model providing districts more flexibility based on each city/town data -4 planning committees to look at plans for next year to help make recommendations next Wednesday (6/17/2020) b. School Improvement Plan 1. Recommendations/thoughts for next year's plan Incoming 6th grade placement tests Edulcastic for math GATES: Reading What resources will be available for those that have fallen behind? In school: use team time Virtual: need to look at this Are there any opportunities over the summer for students to get caught up?No unless they qualify for ESY How is information being transferred from school to school (transition years)? Will be provided in a spreadsheetstudent specific that will show trends and patterns Would like to do more work on multi-cultural differences and add into curriculum and to the everyday life of the school not just advisory, teams etc. 4.
