Donna welcomed new member, Frances Barba-Boyle Minutes were approved. There was no Treasurer's report as Jane was not present. Publicity: Nancy sent the press release. Our email list was updated on Google Docs. Nancy suggested that one person act as administrator of the Google Account. It was suggested that this would be a good role for Megan. She will be approached about this. Nancy offered to do a walk-through of Google Drive for anyone who needed it. You need to use a different browser if you have a personal Google account on your device. It was suggested we have a forms and templates folder. The New Reading Resident Open House at the library is set for April 7, 5:30-7:00. It was suggested that copies of press releases and brochures be available for attendees. Community Survey was discussed. We will use last year's with minor changes. In May we will send out a mailing, including reminder about October 15 deadline for applications as well as information about the survey. It will be available via links through Your Community Connection, library's digital sign board and the library website. Nancy posed the question of whether to continue using the Town's Survey Monkey account, which is free. It was decided to continue with that. Brian offered to help. Community Reception was discussed. The idea of partnering with the Art Walk Reception was endorsed. The reception will be Wed, 6/3 from 6-8 pm at the Pleasant St. Center. Brian is on the organizing committee and can act as liaison. We will be given a 10 minute spot and a table. This would expand our outreach. There would be no speeches from Page 1 1 dignitaries, as in the past. Snacks would be provided. Mary Ann suggested developing a stylistic Map of Reading poster, showing how we cover the town with cultural events. Donna asked if we need to make any changes to our RCC priorities, listed on the website. The consensus was no. Donna, Nancy and Rosemary's terms will expire on June 30, 2020. Some residents have expressed interest in working on the Council. Donna reminded that officers should be in place by the September meeting. With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 pm. The next meeting is scheduled for 4/6/20. Page 1 2
